The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga has described the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele as a sadist and a wicked boss of the bank.
Onanuga stated this on Tuesday via his Twitter page after the CBN on Monday bowed to the March 3 judgment of the Supreme Court and announced the old N200, N500, and N1000 notes as legal tender.
The announcement by the CBN was made eleven days after the apex court had delivered its judgment affirming the old notes as legal tender until December 31, 2023.
It also came just as governors of ten states set to file applications asking the apex court to commit Emefiele for contempt of court.
Onanuga wrote; “Godwin Emefiele of CBN ends as the fall guy of the ill-conceived, illegal currency swap in our nation’s history.”
“He will be remembered as a sadistic, wicked boss of the bank who inflicted unprecedented hardship on our people, causing anger, pain, and deaths.”
