A former Chairman of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Ikeja Branch, Yinka Farounbi is dead.
The Ikeja branch NBA on Friday announced the passing away of it’s former chairman Farounbi.
The details are still sketchy as at press time but a reliable source said the late Farounbi “has been sick for sometimes now.”
The late Farounbi until his death, was a staunch member of the NBA Ikeja also known as "The Tiger Branch".
In a terse message titled “Condolence Message” by the secretary of the branch, Mr Issa Adedokun Esq regretted the passing away of the Bar man, stating that his “contribution to our Branch in particular and the legal profession in general will forever remain indelible.”
The Ikeja NBA message read:
CONDOLENCE MESSAGE
“Distinguished Colleagues,
“The Executive Committee regrets to announce the transition of our beloved Leader, *Yinka Farounbi, Esq. (Former Chairman, NBA (Ikeja Branch).* who passed on today the *12th of October, 2023*
“We are deeply saddened by this passing but comforted with the fact that, our dear Leader lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation by all.
“His contribution to our Branch in particular and the legal profession in general will forever remain indelible.
“Burial arrangements will be announced upon confirmation from his immediate family. As we condole with his family, kindly remember them in prayers at this critical time.
