The Bishop Diocese of  Kwara,  Anglican Communion, Rt Rev Sunday Timothy Adewole, has called on Christians in the state to imbibe the virtue of forgiveness for their prayers to be answered.

Rev Adewole made the call  at the Good Friday Service at Saint Barnabas Cathedral, Sabo-Oke Ilorin, Kwara State

The Cleric who spoke on the seven words of Jesus on the cross, urged husbands to forgive their  wives just as wife should also forgive their husband. 

He also  urged friends to  forgive each other just as minister of God should also forgive each other. 

"We should forgive each other for our prayers to be answered,  in  your work place forgive. parents should forgive their children. 

"When you repent of your sin He will forgive you. We should  believe in God," he added.

The Clergyman also urged parents to  take good care of their children just as children should also take care of their parents. 

"You should take good care of your parents to receive breakthrough in life. We need to cultivate the  habit of taking care of our parents.  

"Remember your parents in anything you have. We need to be conscious of the word of God," Adewole said.

The  Bishop also urged parents to  teach their children how to  handle challenges in life 

 "Let them understand the nitty gritty of life. Parents should not compare their children with others because they add to their problem. Parents should talk to them in gentle way," he said.

He also stressed the need for  honest relationship with God  to get what one  desire or thirsty for. 

The Bishop stressed the need to give  attention to things of God.
